British menswear brand dunhill has released a video of the Flying Scotsman Rally experience, starring Bentley expert William Medcalf.
The Flying Scotsman Rally is one of Britain’s premier vintage car rallies, and comprises three days of open-road motoring against the most picturesque backdrops in the north of the UK. William Medcalf, who drove in the film, has one of the greatest competitive histories at the event.
A back-to-back champion in 2015 and 2016 and one of the original drivers from the first running of the event, Medcalf knows how to navigate the spectacular Scottish roads better than anyone – making him the perfect candidate to star in the film.
The video sees Medcalf hop behind the wheel of his 1929 Bentley 4½ Litre to demonstrate his remarkable driving prowess on some of the UK’s most breath-taking roads.
When it comes to vintage Bentley maintenance, rally preparation and, indeed, driving, Medcalf is the very first name out of the hat, and his unrivalled ability behind the wheel of a near-90-year-old Bentley makes for fantastic viewing in dunhill’s video.
“The Flying Scotsman Rally is an event I love and know very, very well,” said Medcalf. “Pushing a vintage Bentley to the limit is what the event is all about, so being chosen to demonstrate that for a brand of dunhill’s stature was an honour.
