Fiskens celebrates 25 years in the Mews
Fiskens, one of the world’s leading specialists in historic road and racing cars, is celebrating 25 years of business in the Mews.
To celebrate the milestone, and following a three-year transition, Fiskens is officially opening the doors to its newly-refurbished showroom during a glitzy champagne reception at the Queens Gate Place Mews in Kensington.
Queens Gate Place Mews is notable for having housed some of the most respected names in motoring. When Fiskens was founded in 2991, the Mews had been a hive of activity for almost a century with coach builders, trimmers, painters and dealers all busily working together under the shadow of the Grade II listed archway that marks its entrance.
A spokesperson at Fiskens said: “If Paris and Milan are the world centres for fashion, and Dublin the only place to buy a proper pint of Guinness, then London – and specifically Queens Gate Place Mews in Kensington – is the spiritual home of the historic car trade.
“We are acutely aware that we are one of the last remaining historic car specialists to stay in central London. Make no mistake, we have every intention to continue working in this special, historic London Mews that has become a Mecca for enthusiasts whenever they are in town.”
Historic Racing Technology will be attending the special occasion, which takes place tonight from 7pm. Check back tomorrow to see our “Fiskens in Photos” gallery.
