Chateau Impney Hill Climb returns in 2017

10 March 2017

The Chateau Impney Hill Climb is set to return once again in 2017 with no fewer than 200 competitors expected to sprint up the MSA-approved, 1,000-yard course in an attempt to beat the clock.

The current course record of 40.50 seconds was set by Martin Jones in the Brabham BT21-B. Jones gained the fastest time of the day (FTD) at the second Chateau Impney Hill Climb in 2016, and was awarded the Ken Wharton Memorial Trophy – kindly donated to the Club by the Hagley & District Light Car Club.

The Chateau Impney Hill Climb was revived in 2015, to honour the first ever sprint that took place at the historic venue in September 1957.

The 2017 event will take place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
