Anglesey part of HSCC 2019 calendar

20 November 2018

The Historic Sports Car Club’s 2019 race programme will include the Club’s first visit to the Anglesey circuit for a mid-summer race meeting at the spectacular North Wales track.

The 2019 calendar was revealed to over 200 members and guests during the Club’s annual awards dinner at Whittlebury Hall. The first HSCC race meeting at Anglesey joins a busy schedule that takes in three well-established flagship dates including race weekends on the Grand Prix circuits at Silverstone and Brands Hatch: the Silverstone International Trophy in May, the Legends of Brands Hatch Superprix in June and the Oulton Park Gold Cup in August.

The Club’s expanded ten-event schedule starts at the end of March at Donington Park and concludes with the popular two-day Finals Meeting at Silverstone in October. The Silverstone International Trophy meeting reverts to a May date as the Cadwell Park Wolds Trophy returns to June.

“I’m pleased to confirm the Club’s first race meeting at Anglesey. The team at Anglesey is very keen for us to go and we’ve been trying to make it happen for several years,” said HSCC CEO Grahame White. “It is a tremendous venue for a mid-summer event and we will take most of our classes and give them good track time with double-header races.”

The provisional 2019 HSCC calendar is:

  • 30 March, Donington Park
  • 18/19 May, Silverstone International Trophy (GP Circuit)
  • 1 June, Snetterton
  • 15/16 June, Cadwell Park (Wolds Trophy)
  • 29/30 June, Legends of Brands Hatch Superprix (GP Circuit)
  • 13/14 July, Anglesey
  • 3/4 August, Croft Nostalgia Weekend
  • 24-26 August, Oulton Park Gold Cup (International Circuit)
  • 21 September, Brands Indy
  • 19/20 October, Silverstone Championship Finals

In addition to these dates, the HSCC will be the race organising club for several other major events including the Silverstone Classic (26-28 July) and the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone (2/3 November).
