Motorsport UK Historic Committee appoints Andy Dee-Crowne
The Motorsport UK Historic Committee has appointed the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC)’s Chief Executive, Andy Dee-Crowne as a member.
Dee-Crowne took over the role of HSCC Chief Executive Officer in January and has extensive experience of the sport as a competitor, a senior race official and licensed Clerk of the Course.
As well as being a member of the Historic Committee, Dee-Crowne will also represent the Historic Committee on the Motorsport UK Race Committee.
He said: “I’m very proud to be appointed to the Historic Committee. I will also be representing the historic fraternity on the Race Committee and I hope I can work for the general good of the sport and historic racers in particular.”
A well as his work as a race official, Dee-Crowne has raced extensively in Jaguars, sports-racing Lolas and Chevrolet Corvettes. He has raced at Le Mans in the Le Mans Classic and competed on race and rally tours like Tour Britannia.
The role of the Historic Committee is to review any sporting or technical aspects of a regulatory and legislative nature relating to historic motorsport across various disciplines. A willingness to bring new ideas and constructively challenge the status quo is always welcome.
